This course will give students an in-depth understanding of networking, using routers and switches and their various configurations and connections. Students will learn how to configure; default, static and dynamic routing. Students will comprehend how to manipulate each of the routing protocols attributes to meet the requirements of the network.

This course will also prepare the student in Layer 2 technology and its various configurations, such as; VLAN’s, VTP, STP, PortFast, EtherChannel, Port-Security, Inter-VLAN communication & Trunking.

Students will also acquire the knowledge needed to secure their routers through the use of Access-list, configuring the different types of NAT & will be able to manage the router’s components.

Students will also be able to thoroughly grasp the concepts of both Internet Protocols; IPv4 & IPv6.

    Looking forward to learning more advanced networking concepts. Might be worth mentioning to students that they can download a free version of the Cisco Packet tracer from Cisco. Some abbreviations are tossed out there without being defined such as DCE and DTE but they are easy enough to google.

    LAZ is very knowledgeable and delivers the information with enthusiasm which keeps your attention. My only complaint is that he mentions things at times that we have no idea what they are yet which can be confusing. But I like the class and would recommend it highly.

    So far the course has been excellent. Laz keeps things simple and explains the concepts clearly. I've taken a different CCNA course, but this one is definitely better. After taking some CCNA practice tests, I realized the other course did not prepare as well as I had thought; however, after going through this course I've already learned a lot of the material that I did not know on the practice tests.

    I am just at the section 2 of these course and am already blown away by the things Laz has passed on to me. His depth of knowledge and what I refer to as "make it easy" teaching method is really wholesome.
